Future
Let's first enumerate the advantages of Akashic. Akashic's innovative consensus and miner incentive mechanism ensure the permanence of storage. The eternal preservation of data has always been a significant issue in human history, with immense importance. Akashic can serve as the Library of Alexandria in the Web3.0 era, preserving data and continuing to accumulate human wisdom. Akashic's decentralization can disrupt the monopoly of centralized cloud service providers in the storage market, allowing user data to avoid censorship and enabling data storage in the cloud, thus bringing about the freedom of data distribution. Akashic's storage positioning is sufficiently fundamental, serving as "Layer0", becoming an indispensable part of blockchain development, and with a wide range of applications and extremely easy to get started with, it is an ideal breeding ground for various decentralized applications. Now let's look at the drawbacks of Akashic. Akashic is too fundamental, and due to architectural reasons, it cannot limit the standards of tokens and contracts. The development ecosystem is too flexible and may not be unified, leading to the ecosystem's inability to collaborate.
We may not fully understand Akashic at the moment, but we also didn't fully understand Bitcoin at the beginning. Charlie Munger once said, "To save computational space, the human brain is unwilling to make changes, which is a form of avoiding inconsistency." We cannot view Akashic from the perspective of a normal blockchain, because that would miss out on many important values of Akashic. Web3.0 is likely to arrive within 2 years, and by then, foundational blockchain infrastructures like Akashic will surely demonstrate their advantages and be understood by everyone.
